Return Policy

1. Damaged or defective items (all customers)

Kindly inform us immediately if the item was damaged during delivery. We will ship a replacement as soon as possible. To be eligible, we require a receipt or proof of purchase as well as photographic evidence of the damage. Your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it.

*For Musou Black Paint only: it must also be in the original plastic packaging. If the item is removed from the plastic packaging, it is no longer eligible for replacement.

If your request is approved, you may request either a replacement or a full refund of the product cost.

Please contact us within 1 month of the delivery date. This time limit does not affect any statutory rights you may have under the law of your country of residence (see section 3).

2. Returns (customers outside the EU, EEA and the United Kingdom)

Other than as set out in section 1, we do not accept returns.

3. Right of withdrawal (consumers in the EU, EEA and the United Kingdom)

If you are a consumer — that is, you are buying outside your trade, business, craft or profession — and you are resident in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

Withdrawal period

The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party other than the carrier indicated by you, acquires physical possession of the goods. Where your order is delivered in more than one consignment, the period runs from the day you receive the last item.

How to withdraw

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision by a clear statement before the period expires. Please email contact@the-black-market.com, or write to:

You may use the model withdrawal form at the end of this policy, but it is not obligatory.

Effects of withdrawal

We will reimburse all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for any supplementary costs arising from your choice of a delivery type other than the least expensive type of standard delivery we offer), without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed of your decision.

We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or until you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

Returning the goods

You must send back the goods without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal.

You will bear the direct cost of returning the goods, including international return shipping to Japan and any customs duties, taxes or brokerage fees incurred on the return.

You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

Exceptions

The right of withdrawal does not apply to:

• goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised. This includes all custom-cut products (“Custom Cuts”) and any made-to-order item;
• sealed goods which are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons and which were unsealed after delivery.

Statutory guarantee

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including the legal guarantee of conformity.

4. Business customers

Section 3 applies to consumers only. It does not apply to purchases made in the course of a trade, business, craft or profession, including purchases by distributors and resellers.

5. Cancellation

We cannot cancel an order once the item has been shipped. Cancellation may be considered if the item is still in pre-production or pre-shipment. This does not affect the right of withdrawal set out in section 3.

6. Refunds

Where a refund is approved, a credit will be applied to your original method of payment. Please note that it may take some time before the refund is posted by your card issuer or bank.
